Important Odds & Ends
Thanks to all the SPARC Members who came out Saturday for Hobbycon 2015. It was a great success and the trailer worked well. Ginny Reid, KC2ZBY needs four more people to purchase jackets so those purchasing can get the special pricing. If you would like to buy a club jacket please let her know as soon as possible. We would also like to welcome Cale Nelson, K4CDN as an author to the blog, Cale is the creator and star of the podcast Fotime and it is a great way for new Hams to learn about this awesome hobby. The March of Dimes walk will take place this Saturday, April 25. Club members planning to help will meet at the District 7 Operations Center side parking lot located at the corner of Union and Virginia Streets at 8:00 am. The address is 717 Union Street.
May will be another busy month for the club with lots of special events going on. The Upstate Hamfest will be held on May 2nd at the Spartanburg Fair Grounds. The business meeting program (May 5th) will be on the Assaults on Marion and Mt. Mitchell. Mike Bonner, K4BON requests those participating in the assaults please attend the rag chew on May 12th so that he can distribute t-shirts for the Assaults and go over final assignments.
