Funeral Arrangements - Ann Thompson




Ann Oliver Thompson, 73, of Roebuck, SC, died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Regency Hospital of Greenville. Born June 15, 1942, in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Cline and Ethel Bryant Oliver. She was also predeceased by her husband, Calvin Michael Thompson. 
Mrs. Thompson was retired as Office Manager at Smith Barney Co., and was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. She was very active in many organizations, including being a member and Treasurer of Spartanburg Amateur Radio Club KI4MEE; a former Red Cross Volunteer, Worthy Matron Roebuck OES216; past President, post Matron, and past Matron Club; past District Deputy - D4; and Eastern Star Service by Roebuck Chapter 216.  Survivors include a daughter, Michelle T. McKelvey; brothers and sisters, Louise Allison, Linda Phillips, Frances & James Martin, Betty and Frank Black, Robert and Susan Oliver, Curtis and Faye Oliver; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Donna Thompson; along with numerous nephews and nieces. 

Visitation will be at 10:00 - 11:30 AM Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Kirkley, followed by The Order of the Eastern Star Rites. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 131 East Main St., Ste. 108, Spartanburg, SC 29306 or online at www.redcross.org/donate.  An online guest register is available at www.floydmortuary.com.
